VIGILANT Platform Featured at GLOBSEC 2025 Forum in Prague

VIGILANT returned to the GLOBSEC 2025 Forum in Prague with a presentation of its platform, designed to support the detection and analysis of harmful online content linked to criminal activities. The demonstration attracted interest from participants curious about how technologies might be applied to complex digital threat environments.

The GLOBSEC 2025 Forum brought together over 2000 participants from over 70 countries, offering a rich setting for dialogue on global security and the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

VIGILANT took part in this international setting to present its platform and engage in discussions on the role of technology in safeguarding information integrity. Throughout the forum, VIGILANT representatives participated in engaging conversations about practical limits and gaps in investigating and monitoring problematic content online, as well as specific scenarios in which the tool’s deployment would increase security and better preparedness of authorities to face crises, extremism and radicalisation online.

Representing the project were Brendan Spillane, Assistant Professor in the School of Information and Communication Studies at University College Dublin, and Gary Munnelly, Research Fellow at the ADAPT Centre.

“In a fast-moving, high-stakes environment, events like this help ground research in real-world concerns.” - Brendan Spillane, University College Dublin
