The VIGILANT project was featured at the International Digital Security Forum (IDSF25), held from 4 to 6 June 2025 in Vienna. Representing VIGILANT was Róbert Móro, Senior Researcher at the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies, who took part in a panel discussion focused on digital threats and information integrity.
The conference, organised by the Austrian Institute of Technology under this year’s theme “Balancing Sovereignty and Solidarity in the Digital Age”, is an annual forum that brings together over 500 international participants from government, industry, academia, and civil society.

Róbert Móro participated in the high-level panel “Information Integrity, Disinformation and Societal Impact”, which explored how disinformation distorts public perception, undermines democratic institutions, and threatens social cohesion. The session also addressed strategies and technologies for upholding information integrity.
In his contribution, Róbert presented VIGILANT’s work on the challenges of crime-related disinformation, offering insights into the project’s efforts to counter misleading narratives linked to criminal activities online.
"It was an opportunity to not only present the VIGILANT project, but also talk to people interested in the project outcomes or even to be part of our Community of Early Adopters."

The panel offered a rich exchange on the evolving tactics of disinformation campaigns and their broader societal impacts. Participation in events like IDSF25 allows VIGILANT to contribute to essential conversations on the future of digital security, while sharing expertise on how technology can support the detection and analysis of harmful online content.
